Marigolds and popsicles

Look who came over yesterday. We had spaghetti and meatballs for supper, and then planted some flowers in pots on the patio. We planted mostly marigolds. They are bright, cheerful flowers, and sturdy enough to withstand the enthusiasm of little hands pushing them into the dirt and then dousing them with "one more drink" of water.

Afterward, we had popsicles while sitting on the porch swing and talking to Dan on Facetime. He comes home tomorrow!

How fun to have these adorable visitors. The planters are so pretty. My mother loved marigolds. We would collect seeds to save for the next year. It's a great time of year to enjoy popsicles!

I'm behind here. It is that crocheting of shawls that has me closed in a bit right now. I start on #10 this afternoon. Then it will be the tucking in of ends and blocking and then comes the labeling and pricing. Hope to have the majority of this done by the end of the weekend!

So, I know you are loving having Dan home now. Enjoy your time together...like you have to be told to do that. ~wink~

Those sweet cherub faces are so very precious. You are a wonderful grandma. xx
